we have had our house in Westport for around 30 years now, and all I can say is we are afraid of them, and revolted by them.
I would not trust Westport police, rely on them for help or report a crime .
I have a pistol permit and I am now exploring alternative personal safety / self-defense options.

I was victim of a crime and a bystander called 911. Police came, took my (victim) ID and asked me not to move !. They caught the assailant few yards away, talked to him for few minutes then they let him go. The officers returned to me, gave me my ID back and said " we know him, he works in the area ( Westport)", you can go now!. WHAT ?.
and the same goes for their "AFL-CIO Brothers and Sisters" of the Norwalk Police
